Greater is He

I John 4:4—You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Have you ever felt that life is pushing you harder than you push back? Have you ever felt that you were facing an enemy you can’t defeat? Well, it’s time to turn the tables on life and the enemy! For too long, we have allowed ourselves to be taken out of the game, so to speak, because we just couldn’t seem to gain any forward momentum. Does anyone ever wonder why that is? It’s simply because we have believed a lie.

The devil is a master manipulator. He has gotten a vast majority of the world’s inhabitants to buy into the notion that we have no power over him. Well, I am here to tell you that the Jesus inside of us has already beaten the enemy. We not only have power over Satan, we have dominion and authority over him. In truth, he has nothing that can beat us! He is a liar, the father of all lies, and there is no truth in him. He is just a wanna-be bully, a pipsqueak whose tricks have all been exposed.

All the devil can do is put roadblocks in our paths. The cool thing is that the power of Christ is like a military tank steamrolling over all of those roadblocks and anything else that stands in our way. We must get to a place of empowerment. We must realize who we are and who we were created to be. It’s time to step up to the plate and knock one out of the park!

Even everyday screw-ups like you and I can hit home runs, because God is greater than the guy hurling fastballs!

Prayer for Today:

Jesus,

Life has beaten me up over the years. I’m sorry that I let it happen. I thank You that You are greater than the enemy. I thank You that You have given me power over him. Help me walk in that power ever day. Help me be who You called me to be.

Amen

Daily Objective:

Look in the mirror and remind yourself each day that what’s in you is greater than what’s around you.
